Family owned and operated since 1987 and at that time with one Toyota Mini Van is how it all began. It was a REAL BARGAIN to ride with Caravan to the airport. The average trip to or from the local airport was $8. Of course rates increased over the years to $35 with roughly $1.25 increase a year. Since then the demand for our service grew and we added a new vehicle every year replacing older models as needed. By the third year (1990) with three vehicles Caravan enrolled and participated in the "Florida Medicaid" system. Caravan was dedicated to a local and much needed community service for the needy. With our good reputation of being loyal and on time Caravan grew with a fleet of twelve vehicles for hire. Government stepped in and became more involved with the local transportation industry. In mid 1990's new and much needed regulations were imposed by commissioned officials of government which resulted to add extra expenses. Towards the new millennium our County Commissioners (of that time) decided to cut back on funds in the transportation sector. Caravan could no longer participate and was shut out of the system. As a result liquidation of many vehicles had to occur but Caravan was still standing thanks to our loyal customers. *smile* With out our loyal customers we could not have endured these difficult times. Caravan started to bounce back and then unexpectedly in September 11, 2001 the Twin Towers and Pentagon of THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA was assaulted by religious extremists. Many of our own innocent individuals boarded aircraft carriers unsuspecting to what tragedy was going to happen. As a result all travel came to a complete halt for many days and travelers were not hasting rapidly to utilize airline service. This was another severe blow to Caravan but even after all of this Caravan is still around providing a much needed and loyal service. Caravan entreats you to give our wonderful service a try.
